Participate in National Observances & Celebrations
To highlight the continuing need for organ donation, Donate Life America created National Donate Life Observances & Celebrations. Each National Observance has downloadable images available to share on your social media to help spread the Donate Life message!
National Donor Day is a time to focus on all types of donation. It’s also a day to recognize our loved ones who have given the gift of donation, have received a donation, are currently waiting or did not receive an organ in time. It is observed annually on February 14.
National Donate Life Month (NDLM), celebrated each April, features an entire month of local, regional and national activities to help encourage Americans to register as organ, eye and tissue donors and to celebrate those that have saved lives through the gift of donation.
National Donate Life Blue & Green Day is a day to wear Donate Life colors in support of awareness for organ, eye and tissue donation and transplantation.
National Pediatric Transplant Week is celebrated during the last full week of NDLM and focuses on the powerful message of ending the pediatric transplant waiting list. Clinical partners share their innovative work and patient stories, donor families whose children have saved and healed lives are honored, and recipient families share their thanks and celebrate milestones.
National DMV Appreciation Week celebrates the DMV partnership, which remains the primary source of donor registrations across the U.S. It is observed annually during the last full week in September.
